ANTIQUE COPELAND and GARRETT Porcelain Urn - Circa 1833 to 1847

This Antique hand painted and gilded Porcelain Urn is by William Taylor Copeland and Thomas Garrett who from 1833 continued the business of Josiah Spode Staffordshire Pottery. This Urn is stamped on the base Copeland and Garrett and this mark dates this item between 1833 and 1847 as Thomas Garrett retired in 1847 and the company continued as Copeland Spode.

The Urn is in good condition for its age bearing no chips, cracks or restoration and the pictures form part of the description which shows slight wear to parts of the gilding. The front of the Urn shows a hand painted floral decoration and the reverse shows a hand painted landscape depicting the period of manufacture which is late Georgian/Early Victorian.

Measuring 26 cm in height (approximately) and 20 cm in width (approximately) – this Porcelain Urn is a True Antique being between 178 and 192 years old.
