A beautiful Fairyland Lustre Bowl circa. 1920 designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. She started her Oriental designs in 1911 and moved to her Fairyland Lustre designs in 1915.
This delightful Lustre Bowl is mottled Green Iridescent with a mottled pale green interior showing a large colourful monkey/dragon/snake motif in the base. The exterior of the bowl depicts a gilded dragon, monkey and snake. The rim of the bowl has a deep decorative gilded border on both the outside and inside and there are two gilded rings to the base of the bowl.
In good condition for its age the base bears the Portland Vase Wedgewood Mark with design number Z4831. The bowl measures 7.5 cm in diameter across the top, 4 cm in height and 3 cm across the base. It bears no chips or crazing and is a very nice piece of Wedgewood Lustre.
